Rob Giannino: "Diving in Iceland"

Rob Giannino is the Founder of Fly Fishing Journeys, an online fly fishing magazine, podcasting, and curated travel company.  He is a speaker, writer, photographer, and videographer. Rob lives in Greater Boston and serves as a guest speaker at fly fishing shows, Trout Unlimited chapters, and other outdoor events. Rob owns a Digital Media Agency helping businesses around the world promote their services online. He combined his joy for helping businesses in the digital space with his passion for fly fishing and created FlyFishingJourneys.com. Bringing fly fisherman together and sharing the love for the sport, both on the water and online fulfills a lifelong dream.

When Rob is not chasing fish around the globe with a fly rod, he is equally passionate about SCUBA diving. Pairing his passion of fly fishing with his love of SCUBA diving leads Rob to some really cool places, often to partake in both passions on the same trip.

One of Rob’s favorite destinations is Iceland, home of the Ice Age Brown Trout. Along with the great fishing and amazing scenery, Iceland offers some of the coolest and most unique diving in the world. A world class dive and one of the huge draws to diving in Iceland is Silfra, where you can actually dive between two continents.  On this dive you can touch both the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates at the same time.  Rob shares both the photos and stories behind this and other Icelandic dives during his Iceland SCUBA presentation.

Please join us for the MetroWest Dive Club's General Meeting for the presentation.

Mission

The MetroWest Dive Club (MWDC) is dedicated to promoting fun, safe diving, and introducing and familiarizing members with new dive sites. We are committed to encouraging good relations with our coastal neighbors through courtesy and good diving etiquette, and getting involved with community activities.

The MWDC is not affiliated with any retailer, vendor, or manufacturers. We are a large group of sport divers with a wide range of scuba diving interests. Club members can help direct you to the many training classes locally available.
