The Date @ Eight is a Saturday morning dive rendezvous at the Burger King, just after exit 19 on Route 128 in Beverly. It is a convenient meeting spot for divers en route North to Cape Ann. We offer a designated Club representative to group up all would-be divers, with or without buddies, members and prospective members alike. They then plan the day's diving activities, program is not only to provide a buddy resource for those who may otherwise not be able to find a buddy that day, but to introduce prospective members to the Club and promote the camaraderie so important in binding our Club together. For more details, contact the respective Shore Dive Coordinator listed on the left for the Saturday you want to join us for a dive.

If you plan to take advantage of the Date @ Eight , we suggest you call the MWDC representative by the Thursday before the dive.

Phone numbers are shown on the left and are also listed in the MWDC newsletter, West Wind Explorer. The MWDC representative or other dive buddies will not leave without you if you are slightly delayed in travel, provided they know you are coming. If the date is open, consult your roster of Club members for potential dive buddies or call any MWDC Officer for suggestions on who is going diving on that date.

Please note that during the winter months, the Date @ 8 temporarily shifts to 10am. Please confirm the exact time with the Date @ 8 coordinator for the day you want to join us.
